ESPN and other news outlets have covered the release of the World Anti-Doping Agency's new sim, PlayTrue at the Youth Olympics in Singapore. The Associated Press wrote, "athletes from around the world crowd around to participate in a role-playing game aimed at teaching them the perils of doping." This project was the first full sim created by the partnership of Web Courseworks and myself. PlayTrue allows people to play through alternating life segments and sports segments to see how the two interact
For me personally, to work with the visionaries at WADA and the fabulous project management, creative, and programming talent at Web Coursworks on this important project was about as perfect as it gets. And unlike many of my sims aimed at teaching someone how to do something, this sim was more focused on learning to be. (For more on learning to do, learning to be, or learning to know, go here.)
